Imphal, December 21 2021:
Two RTI activists from Abungnikhu village in Chandel district have charged CEO and caretaker of ADC Chandel of denying information on fund utilisation of the ADC.
In a statement, the two RTi activists informed that they filed the application on March 6 this year but no information was provided to them.
Consequently, they made first and second appeals to the State Chief Information Commissioner (SCIC) on April 4 and September 18 respectively.
Following instruction from the SCIC, they went to the ADC office to seek information on fund utilisation.
However, CEO Ksh Siddharth and caretaker D Ringo Lamkang declined to provide the information.
Terming the denial as an obvious act of hiding corrupt practices in the fund utilisation of the ADC, the two RTI activists maintained that every public office should be made accountable and answerable to the public.
