Lamka, January 17, 2011:
Barely a couple of years after the formal inauguration of Khuga Dam, the JAC has for once raises its head yet again with allegation that the state government have continually failed to fulfill the tall promises made to them.
The government has flouted three consecutive understanding reached by the JAC with the chief minister, alleged the JAC statement issued today.
It also questions the reason for withholding two of the contractor's cheques and express doubt on the compensation process that is said to be awarded through the deputy commissioner.
The JAC also claimed a good two-third of funds granted by the central and the state's share that are meant for constructing Dam were still unutilized and demanded to know if the state merely seeks to misappropriate them.
Claiming that failure to uphold the promises made by the government will only attract fresh trouble, the JAC said they are ready to roll-up their sleeves once again.
