A free medical camp and distribution of aid to the landslide affected people of Keithelmanbi region was jointly organized today by 14 Assam Rifles under 59 Mountain Brigade and district administration of Senapati district.
The camp was inaugurated by Brigadier RK Sharma, Commander 59 Mountain Brigade and was presided by Vivek Kumar Dewangan, Deputy Commissioner of Senapati as guest of honour.
During the camp free medicines, dental treatment, residual spray of disinfectant material to check any outbreak of waterborne diseases, distribution of rations by the civil administration to the flood affected persons and pre-recruitment medical test to check the medical fitness of aspirants for Army recruitment rally to be held at Kakching from September 18 to 25 was held.
A free medical camp will also be held at village Bongmol tomorrow jointly by 14 AR and the civil administration.
Meanwhile, a free medical camp was also organized by 35 Assam Rifles at Old Tamenglong on July 30.A total of 484 patients availed medical facilities.
