The case involving the alleged assault of a girl, employed as domestic help at Delhi recently was amicably settled today through tribal customary laws between the family council of both parties, a source said.
It may be mentioned that Ms Dimnemkim, 19, who was employed by Ms.Rebecca Ngailianmoi and her husband Yaruingam Tangkhul at Delhi since January this year had alleged severe ill-treatment, including burning and physical assault at the hands of her employers.
The victim party accepted a token amount of monetary compensation offered and both sides agreed to put the unfortunate incident behind them in a spirit of forgive and forget, it said.
Flood relief: In a gesture of good will and sympathy to those affected by large scale mudslide and flood around Keithelmanbi recently, students of Don Bosco School, Lamka contributed cash and kind for the victims and the money will soon be sent to responsible authorities in the area.
About Rs 5000 and some clothes have so far been donated, but the donation will continue till Friday as more contributions are expected, a school source said.
