KCP refutes surrender claim

Imphal, August 18 2014:
The proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) has refuted the news report which says that three of its cadres surrendered to 9th Assam Rifles at Moreh along with weapons on August 14 last.
A statement issued by S.Mangal, Member-in charge, Department of Information & Publicity of KCP clarified that private Sanatomba aged 25 years (Army No.2138), son of late Nurdin of Moreh Ward no.5, self-styled Captain Thangthinlan Haokip aged 65 years, (Army No.256), son of late S.Haokip from Chakpi in Sugnu, and Sgt.
Major Mamang Haokip aged 21 years, (Army No.1561), son of Yangkholet Haokip from Naogakhei Kyo Kru of Salempat District under Boksu Police station in Myanmar, who were claimed to have surrendered as KCP cadres are not related to the party and its armed wing MFL.
The statement further charged that such allegations are the sinister designs of the Assam Rifles who are vying for availing the money sanctioned for counter insurgency operations by Government of India.
