FATCYM objects

Imphal, August 18 2014:
The Federation of All Tribal Youth Clubs, Manipur (FATYCM) has registered strong objection against the alleged inclusion of Scheduled Castes (SC) in the Tribal Affairs and Hills Department, according to its president R.Asing.
The FATYCM president stated that the inclusion of SC in the Tribal Affairs and Hills department is highly condemnable as Tribal Affairs and Hills is purely to deal with tribal affairs.
FATYCM further condemned the sitting 20 tribal MLAs in the State who are not able to safeguard tribal peoples' rights and said that the Cabinet decision taken on July 11, 2014 regarding inclusion of SC in the Tribal Affairs and Hills Department be treated as null and void.
All matters relating to SCs and their welfare, which was with the Directorate of Minorities, Other Backward Classes & Scheduled Castes Department were transferred to the Directorate of Tribal Affairs & Hills as "Department of Tribal Affairs, Hills and Scheduled Caste Department in accordance to the Cabinet meeting held on July 11 .
FATYCM also condemned the acts of Principal Secretary (TA, H & SC), Government of Manipur, SK Dev Verman and Joint secretary (TA, H & SC), Government of Manipur, George K Maram who signed the orders.
