Imphal, November 29:
Expressing deep concern over the quit notice served by NSCN (IM) cadres to the villagers of Thowai Kuki village on November 23, Kuki Movement For Human Riuhts (KMHR ) has appealed to the Chief Minister to intervene and save the innocent villagers from a possible attack from NSCN (IM) cadres.
In a statement, KMHR chairman T Lunkim informed that an operation commander of the NSCN (IM) had summoned the chief of the Thowai Kuki village on November 23 and had threatened to strike at the villagers if they fail to leave the area before Christmas.
The NSCN (IM) cadres had also threatened the villagers of Sangkai village on November 26, he added.
