Imphal, September 22:
An amputated left leg was found near the eastern wall of DM College campus at around 11.30 am today.
The amputated leg was later identified as that of one Nongthombam Mani (68) of Leimakhong.
After amputating the leg due to some illness at Raj Polyclinic at North AOC, the same had been handed over for disposal.
Police handed over the amputated leg to Raj Polyclinic again.
Family sources blaming a close relative for neglecting directive of the private clinic regarding disposal of the body parts regretted inconveniences and anxiety caused to the public.
