The Angami Region, GPRN/NSCNK has vehemently condemned the brutish murder of Megovithe (Aphreu) Meru of Khonoma village at Naga Bazaar, Kohima by one Abu Angami today.
A release issued by Thiekelie Angami, PRO and CARM Angami Region GPRN/NSCN said that Abu (accused) was earlier apprehended by Angami region for having deserted the fold with 9 mm pistol but was spared of his life on humanitarian consideration and later excommunicated from the GPRN/NSCN.
Maintaining that the accused is learnt to be absconding, Thikelie said that GPRN would not spare any effort to co-operate with concerned authority and bring the criminal to trial.
The NSCN-K expressed grief and shock at this nature and magnitude of savage act perpetrated upon blameless Naga fellow and also conveyed condolence to the aggrieved family at this hour of grief and sorrow.
Meanwhile, a discharge order of Abu issued by the corporal Atoho Sumi of Asutomi Village of "Operation Blueland" PAN stated that Abu was 'honorably discharged' from active service on heath ground and domestic problem.
His activities whatsoever would no longer be attributed to GPRN/NSCN.
