Guwahati, June 08 2012:
A 13-member Bangladeshi team, including ten journalists, have visited the proposed Tipaimukh Dam site to study and assess the effects of the multi-purpose hydro-electric project on the tri-junction of Assam, Manipur and Mizoram.
The team of journalists had an aerial view on Wednesday from an Indian Air Force helicopter which could not land on the site due to a marshy helipad, official sources said here today.
The team was accompanied by high officials of the NHPC and Media Liaison Officer of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, Ranjan Mondal.
