BOSEM felicitates Class X toppers

Prize distribution function of toppers of HSLC Exam, 2012 was held today by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BOSEM) at the Auditorium of Manipur Film Development Corporation Ltd, Palace Gate.
The prize distribution function was graced by RD and PR Minister, Francis Ngajokpa; Principal Secretary of Education (S), J Suresh Babu and Director of Education (S), W Rajen as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking at the occasion, RD & PR Minister, Francis Ngajokpa said the State could have excelled in the field of education if the same facilities available in other States could be availed in the State.
He urged the parents and guardians to encourage their children to excel in their chosen fields and mould them to become responsible citizens while adding that imposing their writ on their children and wards would not pay dividend.

Francis also exhorted the students not to be content with the feats they have achieved, but to prepare better in their future in the cut-throat competition era.
Stating that the feat achieved by the State in the field of education is somethinbg that could never be undermined, J Suresh Babu said the State could be in higher plane had it been equipped with adequate infrastructure.
Stating that the silence of the intellects over several issued confronted by the State is improper, Suresh Babu urged the intellects of the State to share their opinions in formulation and implementation of policies.
Students within the top 10 of the HSLC exam, 2012 and students getting the highest marks in each subject were honoured with awards which were sponsored by various trusts, individuals, and societies.
A gold medal and a citation were awarded to topper of the exam, Chandam Achouba of St Joseph School while a silver medal, a cash reward of Rs 10,000 and a citation were presented to 2nd position holder Chingkhei Wangjam of Donbosco School, Langjing.
Valentina Maibram of Little Flower School, who comes 3rd in the exam was awarded with Rs 8,000 and a citation.
