MCDA bans IV fluid in state

On the wake of death of 13 pregnant women in state run Umed Hospital in Jodhpur city of Rajasthan, the Manipur Chemists and Druggists Association (MCDA) has imposed ban on selling IV Fluids of Parental Surgical India Private Limited in state with immediate effect.
In a press release, MCDA stated that the 13 pregnant succumbed after infusion of IV Fluids of the pharmaceutical company which is found to be contaminated with bacteria during microbiological examination.
The company had processed to expand its market in the state some months back.
The MCDA asked the wholesaler and retailers, to cease supplying and selling of the product, until further order from the state Medical Directorate.
