Water pipeline bursts at Keishampat Junction

Imphal, December 30 2013:
A water pipeline of Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) suddenly burst at Keishampat Junction causing traffic woes for several hours today afternoon.
The burst pipeline was located on the western side of Keishampat Bridge.
Thousands of gallons of treated water flowed out of the pipeline and inundated several portion of the main road.
Vehicular movement along the road was suspended for several hours until the pipeline was fixed.
