Lamka, March 28 2015 :
The JAC of Khuga Dam today strongly objected the 'statement report' of CE, IFCD, Manipur on Khuga Dam to various Ministries at the Centre saying it (the report) underestimates the public and left the JAC deeply concerned.
The claim that 5 MG of drinking water supply has been provided to the public is only 'theoretical,' the JAC said and clarified that the minimal water to the surrounding villages was provided by PHED through NEC after the total failure of IFCD.
The JAC also refuted the claim that 80 percent of the power component has been completed.
It also denied that the left canal was flowing from 0-6.5 kms and the right canal from 0-20 kms.
On the contractors pending bills, the JAC said most of the bills are balance or part payment bills which the contractors are seeking for full payment and the excuses made by officials are merely lame and exhibited the department's true identity.
