Khenjonglang Imphal and Karyemkhu Kanthouna Cultural Repertoire is set to present a play based on the folk tale of Maring tribe entitled, Khaltiba.
The play is the outcome of a 45-day cultural workshop cum production organised under the extension programme of NSD, New Delhi held at Sandang Senba Maring village of Senapati district.
Thirty trainees are taking part in the workshop which kick started on August 17 last in the village.
The 1 hour 30 minutes long play will be staged at the village on the concluding day of the workshop on October 2, informed Thanileima, director of Khenjongang.
The play would also be shown at different theatre platforms in Imphal, she added.
Director of Folk Performance of NSD, Suman Kumar is currently giving training on acting skills to the trainees.
