Imphal, February 04 2009:
The Joint Administrative Council (JAC) of All Manipur Trade Unions Council (AMTUC) and All Manipur Government Employees Organisation (AMGEO) in a press said that the indefinite cease work strike of the JAC against various demands including the implementation of the sixth pay commission in the state has completed 70 days today.
The JAC claimed that the government is still unconcerned about the demands put up by the JAC despite the government offices remained paralysed for long.
Fueled by the raised discontentment of the state employees, the JAC is shortly going to plan for more intensive agitations against the state government.
The JAC also appealed to all the related departments to cease the written test and DPC examinations for recruiting new state employees till the strike is over.
The JAC also appealed to all employees of any department not to bring any form of bill or payment to the treasury office till the strike is over.
The statement of the JAC ascertained that the JAC will undergo intensive strikes until the demand is fulfilled.
