FCS minister, Y Erabot while revealing that authorized gas agents suspended delivery of cooking gas to the consumers inspite of enough stock in the Sekmai Gas Bottling Plant has said that action would be taken up to the authorize gas agents for not availing cooking gas to the consumers if they do not resume distribution works within two days.
He said, he knew that gas agents are doing a lot of wrong things.
But police department is asked to take up criminal cases against their wrong deeds, wrong doers could not be punish as they (police) are not performing their duty sincerely.
There is no reason of costing upto Rs 350 per refilled LPG cylinder.
The existing controversy is the creation of the gas agents.
So, it is sure to suffer for doing wrong, he said reacting the present misfortune befell to the agents after an underground group interfere on them and added that they should know that now a day there is no room for wrong doers.
Keeping aside the present problem of the gas agents behind, the more important thing is to make arrangement for making available cooking gas to the people.
So, if the agents stop distribution of cooking gas, the license issued to them has to be cancelled, the minister said stating that the matter will be converted into action within two days.
With regard to the taking captivity of three officials of the FCS department, he came to know the kidnapping and detention of them on February 1 after families informed him after he returned from Moreh.
As per information provided by the families, they were kidnapped by the activists of the United People's Party of Kangleipak.
The group has been demanding documents related with the issue and distributed by the department during the period from 2007 till 2008 .
Families did not expressed about demanding ransom by the kidnappers, he said.
Family members blamed him stating that he do not take the thing seriously.
But they should know that how a government authority has to negotiate with the group declared as outlaw.
So he had asked the DGP in-charge Ahenthem Romenkumar to take steps to rescue the kidnapped officers.
Erabot also said that till now there is no confirmation reports on whether the officers were kidnapped or keeping detain after they went to meet them at their own risk.
It is woeful to how FCS is functioning.
The matter arising out of the abduction of the three officers will be hard to negotiate even it happened to the family of the minister, he observed adding that the easiest matter is to be sincere by the officers in discharging their duties by the government officers.
He further said that the said three kidnapped officers had been transferred from their posting place some months back.
Government will not held talk with any underground organizations for the release of the three officers, he said leaving the matter to the concern state home department for dealing as it is the concern of the department.
