Imphal, May 27:
Chief Secretary Jarnail Singh has asked the Commissioners and Secretaries concerned to take up fitting action against officers who were found late/absent during a surprise visit conducted in four Govt Departments today from 9.30 am till 10 am.
The Chief Secretary inspected the offices of Vigilance, Social Welfare, CADA and Town Planning today and found none of the officers of CADA and Town Planning present.
Only two employees were found present at Social Welfare while there were 17 employees at the Vigilance office.
Jarnail Singh has ordered a one day pay deduction from the salary of all the employees found absent today.
