BAKCAM deplores politicization of Sinakeithel twin murders

Kangpokpi, September 09 2021: The Bungpi Area Kuki Chief Association, Manipur (BAKCAM) has expressed its strong disapproval over the politicization and communalization of the mysterious deaths of Thotreichan Kashing and Naosomi Lunglei of Sinakeithel village, Ukhrul district on August 4, 2021 .

A press release issued by BAKCAM stated that even after Kuki Students Organisation condemned the twin murder and urged to refrain from giving a communal tone to the tragic circumstance, some vested interested groups went on to stage a protest rally.

BAKCAM also appealed to stop pointing fingers at each other without any valid reason and proof.

The association expressed their concern over the alleged summons and harassment of some Kuki villagers by police personnel.

The Chief association further appealed to the concerned authority to expedite the case and close the matter at the earliest to avoid any unwanted incident in the future.
