Land record computerization of Imphal West in a week

Imphal West DC Naorem Praveen has conveyed that under the Digital India Mission, Imphal West district administration has taken up many initiatives, one among them being computerization of land records, adding that land record computerisation of Imphal West district will be completed in one week's time.
He made the statement during the celebration of 4th anniversary of Digital India, which was held at Kombirei Hall Imphal West DC complex under the aegis of District Administration Imphal West today.
Speaking at the event, Naorem Praveen explained there are 180 revenue villages in Imphal West district, out of which only two villages' land records are left for computerization.
The process was not able to be completed due to the recent Lok Sabha election and as such, land record computerisation of the whole Imphal West district will be completed in a week, he added.
He informed that today's celebration is being been held in connection with the launching of Digital India by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on July 1, 2015 with an objective of connecting rural areas with high speed internet services, improvement of digital literacy and bringing qualitative changes in the Government.
The DC continued that e district certificates of schedule tribe, income certificates, domicile and others will be provided only through online process and not off-line mode in the next stage and for that a plan has been made and it will start by mid July.
He also said that a dashboard was also inaugurated today to highlight the projects taken up in the district, mostly Central projects, in the website for analysing the important data, for monitoring, to know the number of job card holders, how many works are completed, how many are remaining and other details etc.
On the other hand, an officer of the district stated that Digital India mission is mainly focused on nine pillars which are broadband highways, universal access to mobiles, public internet access program, national rural internet mission, e-Governance reformation Government services through technology, e-Kartic electronic delivery, information to all, electronic manufacturing (target net zero import by 2020) IT for jobs and early harvest programme.
The event was attended by SDO/ SDC and staff of Imphal West District Administration.
