Imphal, September 23 2011:
A group of 59 concerned citizens of the land has petitioned the President of India, Prime Minister, Governor of Manipur, Chief Minister, Chairman of the Union Public Service Commission and the Chairman of Manipur Public Service Commission on a glaring loophole in the question set for the preliminary examination to recruit MCS, MPS, MFS and allied services officers.
Making it clear that the petition was not to malign the image of MPSC but to safeguard its sanctity, the concerned citizens of the land pointed out that 24 questions asked in the examination were adverbatim replication from a web page/blog, which is a public domain.
Only question number 23, was not found in the blog/page, said the petition and named them as http://cbseadda.blogspot.com/ published in May 2011 and http://examguru.blogspot.
com published in December 2008 .
Raising serious concern over the issue, the group asked whether it was purely coincidental or intentional or an oversight.
Is the profession and the exam of such a standard that questions had to be asked from just one sample quiz of 25 questions, asked the group and added that though there have been cases of questions coming from question banks there has never been of such a dimension or magnitude.
The group also asked whether there is any guarantee that information regarding the site was kept secret.
The MPSC was also asked whether they can convince the public of their fairness.
