RIMS authorities lobby with Manipur University

Authorities of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) claimed to have held discussions with officials concerned of Manipur University to accommodate 38 nursing students of RIMS College of Nursing in the forthcoming examinations.
Talking to the Sangai Express, RIMS Director Dr S shekharjit said inspite of the controversy over appointment of unqualified teaching faculties in the RIMS College of Nursing, MU officials have been urged to ensure that the 38 nursing students do not suffer, academically.
Disclosing that a top level meeting between officials of RIMS and MU has already been held in this matter, the Director claimed of receiving positive response from the latter on the issue of conducting examinations for the nursing students.
He also informed that a Committee has been constituted to look into the controversy surrounding appointment of unqualified teaching faculties.
Mention may be made that MU authorities had been refusing to conduct examinations for the nursing student on account of appointment of teaching faculties, including principal of the RIMS College of Nursing.
