Kangpokpi, December 26 2021:
Considering the impact Kakai's stir has on the people, Thadou Students' Association Sadar Hills has appealed to Kakai Singsit to take a break from his 'Fast Unto Death' strike during the festive season.
The student body stated that 'Fast unto death' stir of Kakai Singsit against the injustice meted out to the trio who were arrested in connection with B Gamnom Killing, has touched and moved the heart of everyone.
The people could no longer celebrate Christmas with peace of mind though it is considered one of the biggest and significant festivals for the Christian community.
People understand the cause of Kakai's extreme form of agitation and everyone morally supports him.
Some Churches also prayed for him during the Christmas worship service, it added.
The student body lamented the fact that although many Ministers and MLAs have poured out greetings for Christmas, they have failed to understand and see a family who could no longer celebrate the momentous occasion for the crime they had not committed.
"It is very unfortunate and unexpected that the Government seems to have no concern at all for Kakai and his family despite enduring tremendous hardships and grievances up to the extent that they are the only family who did not celebrate Christmas this year", it added.
The student body also pointed out that many people could not celebrate Christmas with peace of mind and joy considering the condition of Kakai and his family.
TSA Sadar Hills on humanitarian ground appealed to Kakai Singsit to take a break from his stir during this festive season as the New Year Celebration is coming just a few days ahead so that all can celebrate and seek new blessings together.
"Let's pray together, seek God's blessing together and resume the fight with new vigor and enthusiasm after the festive season", said TSA Sadar Hills.
It may be mentioned that the 'Fast unto Death' stir of Kakai Singsit which began on December 20 entered its sixth day on Sunday.
