Thang-Ta Observation Committee continues month-long observation

The Thang-Ta Observation Committee conducted an awareness programme at Eternal Spring English School located at Sekta under Lamlai Constituency today to mark the tenth day of their month-long observance of Thang-Ta Day which commenced from October 16 .
In a statement, Thang-Ta Observation Committee shared that the month-long observation was organised under the supervision of Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts & Cultural Society (KIMACS) and will conclude on November 15 .
Today's awareness programme was attended by Laishram Raghumani, principal, Eternal Spring English School; Maibam Surjaboro Meitei, advisor KIMACS and Ningthoujam Ajitkumar Mangang, convenor, Thang-Ta Observation Committee as the presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion Laishram Raghumani attributed the degradation of morals among students to a deviation from the indigenous culture, tradition and norms as well as their lack of awareness of their social stature as students.
As such, he emphasized on the need for students to be cautious and maintain a steadfast resolve regarding their future rather than being distracted by superficial things.
He then highlighted the importance of showing respect to one's teachers and added that a student who maintains decorum in front of their teachers is headed towards success.
It is worth noting that yesterday, which marked the 9th day of the month-long observation of Thang-Ta day, Thang-Ta Observation Committee organised an awareness programme at Emmanuel English Academy at Yaingangpokpi.
Yesterday's programme was attended by Shanta Yumkhaibam, assistant teacher, Emmanuel English Academy; Leitanthem Dhamendro, chairman, Thang-Ta Observation Committee and Ningthoujam Ajitkumar Mangang, president KIMACS as the presidium members.
