While stating that the Meitei community should be the first one to set an example to other communities in the state regarding unity and integration, CAF & PD minister L Susindro Meitei has called for merging the names of the community i.e., Meitei and Meetei into one single name.

There is nothing that is stopping anyone from returning to their own religion and as such there is the need to hold similar workshops in the future.
Pin-pointing out many flaws in the community, Susindro urged for resolving all issues within the community so as to move forward towards the path of development.
He then said that the present CM is a unique leader, who is tolerant of all religions, while at the same time, wants unity, which will fulfil the meaning of democracy.
The minister stressed the need for more supporters and understanding of Sanamahism, while adding that he would extend all possible help in this regard.
He then called for merging the 'Meitei' and 'Meetei' name of the community into one single entity, so as to set an example to other communities with regard unity and integrity.
Susindro also called for allowing people from other communities to practice Sanamahism so as to ensure its further development.

In his speech as the president of the function, Rajya Sabha MP Sanajaoba Leishemba emphasised the importance of the workshop, remarking that the Meetei community is not the only one believing in Sanamahism.
All the knowledge of this religion are for the benefit of all living beings, he said, while'urging the 130 delegates from different districts who are attending the workshop to avail full use of the workshop.
He then said that if it is for the welfare of the state, we must stop being selfish, while further calling for merging the Meitei and Meetei factions of the community into one single entity, thereby strengthening the bonds of brotherhood with other communities.
