Ropeway on its way

With a view to enable tourists have a closer and clearer look of Loktak, the largest fresh water lake in the North East region of India, a ropeway would connect Sendra hillock with Chaoba hillock of Thanga.
Meanwhile, it is reported that booking of tickets for the first Imphal-Mandalay flight would be opened from tomorrow.
An official source informed that the Manipur Development Society (MDS) has initiated due process to install a network of ropeways so that tourists can enjoy the beauty and charm of Loktak lake at different parts.
Earlier it was planned to construct a ropeway network over some popular parts of Loktak Lake ahead of the Manipur Sangai Tourism Festival 2013 but it is unlikely that the ropeway can be constructed in time for the gala event.
On the other hand, KB Enterprises would open ticket booking for the first Imphal-Mandalay flight from tomorrow and air fare for the to and fro flight would be Rs 11,500 .
Meanwhile, Golden Myanmar Airlines wrote a formal letter to the Director General of Civil Aviation, Government seeking permission to land its aircraft at Tulihal Airport on November 21 .
Similar letters have also been written to the Union Civil Aviation Minister and the Civil Aviation Secretary by chief Minister O Ibobi and Chief Secretary PC Lawmkunga respectively.
