Najma to cast vote at TG Hr Sec School

Imphal, April 12 2019:
Governor Dr Najma Heptulla, who recently enrolled in the voter lists under Sagolband Assembly Constituency, will cast her vote in the coming Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency election on April 18, at the polling station at TG Higher Secondary School.
According to an official source, the Governor who recently shifted from New Delhi and enrolled in the voter lists for Sagolband A/C, will cast her vote at Polling Station 11/34 -TG Higher Secondary School.
A total of 9,28,626 voters (4,47,843 male and 4,80,751 females, 8,838 service voters and 32 third genders) will cast their vote for 11 candidates, at 1300 Polling Stations, the source explained.
The source continued that 4,523 persons with disabilities have already been marked in the electoral rolls to ensure that all of them exercise their voting rights and the CEO Office has even made necessary transportation arrangements for bringing the persons with disabilities for voting.
Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, which is comprised of 32 A/Cs, has 56 critical Polling Stations, 54 vulnerable Polling Stations and 35 Model Polling Stations, the source added.
55 Polling Stations (Yaiskul A/C) in Imphal East will be manned completely by women, 26 in Imphal West, 40 in Bishnupur and 3 in Thoubal.
A Polling Station operated only by persons with disabilities will also be opened at Imphal East.
On the other hand, the source informed that the EVMs to be used in the poll have already been commissioned by the engineers concerned and they are now safely locked away in the strong room.
44 companies of Central paramilitary forces will be utilised for the said election, the source added.
