Imphal, April 12 2019:
Chief Minister N Biren Singh has claimed that the fear and apprehension people had in the past while seeing security forces and police, were due to the absence of a responsible and caring leader in the State.
He made the statement during a one day political conference for BJP Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency candidate Dr RK Ranjan held at the residence of Konthoujam Kendra MLA Dr S Ranjan at Konthoujam Awang Leikai today.
Speaking at the event, Biren said that the BJP Government came at a time when the State was reeling under the after effect of the misadministration caused by the previous Congress Government which left behind a State plagued by various issues like fear of police and security forces, fake encounters, corruption, tension between hills and valley and economic blockades etc.

Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rule, the once dangerous Imphal-Jiribam road has been completely repaired and gifted to the people.
Under the Chief Ministergi Hakselgi Tengbang, poor people can now get proper treatment in hospitals, he added.
Stating that it is the aim of the BJP Government to improve the standard of life of the people, Biren said that the State Government will work tirelessly and spare no effort in ensuring the welfare of the people.
Biren continued that Narendra Modi will return as the Prime Minister and expressed belief that the BJP candidate for Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, will win by more than 30,000 margin.
He then appealed to all to support the BJP candidate in the Inner as well.
