N Rajningthou Memorial Cricket : CRAU, Al Ameen post massive wins

CRAU's N Oliver enjoyed a four-wicket haul to hold Model Club at 150 runs for 10 in first innings before his team eased to a 5 wicket win in a Group A league match of the 1st MCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Singh Memorial Trophy 2019 organised by Manipur Cricket Association at Heinoupok Ground today.
Model Club won the toss and stacked up 150 runs for all wickets down in 23.5 overs riding on Kirankumar Atom's 52- ball 61 and L Arbin's 16 runs in the first innings which saw N Oliver of CRAU clinch 4 wickets in 4.5 overs offering 18 runs.
Thimison and Nikhil of CRAU also did well to restrict the Chingamakha side by picking up 2 wickets each in 4 and 3 overs respectively.
Although none of the CRAU batsmen had a laudable score, their bit by bit contributions helped them reach the target in 22.5 overs with 5 wickets remaining in the hand.
K Sanatomba made the highest score of 29 runs facing 56 balls while Ph Jodash and Thimison gathered 21 and 16 runs respectively to set up the win.
In Model Club's bowling, Kirankumar Atom managed 2 wickets in his spell of 6 overs while Tenison Atom and Bravio got one wicket each.
N Oliver of CRAU was eventually named man of the match for his 4 wicket feat.
Elsewhere in the second match played at Langthabal Public Ground, Al Ameen had a massive 174 runs victory against OSCAR.
Aziz hit a unbeaten half century (54 off 35 balls) and Imran stayed on the other end with 48 runs not to help Al Ameen post a huge target of 210 runs for 4 in 30 overs after electing to bat first.
Akip Hussain also gathered 32 runs in this innings before he got out in the 25th ball.
Abhisek of OSCAR picked up two wickets in this innings while Lallukumar and Surajkumar managed 1 wicket each before their team bundled out for a paltry 36 runs in 10.2 overs.
Rajkumar who scored 6 was the highest scorer for OSCAR as Aziz, Wakil and Pravez of Al Ameen wreaked havoc across the batting line up by taking two wickets each.
Wakar of Lilong side also had his name on the scoresheet for dismissing a single.
Aziz who shone with both bat and ball was named man of the match.
TCMDC will face TRAU at Langthabal Public Ground tomorrow while YUC will face PTCC at Heinoupok Ground.
