The newly formed Independent MLAs' Forum has decided to support the sitting MP Mani Charenamei who would be contesting as the candidate of the People's Democratic Alliance (PDA) in the Outer Parliamentary Constituency of the Lok Sabha election to be held for the first phase on April 16. Speaking as chief guest of the 30th anniversary cum cultural and sports meet, 2009 of Kabongram Mithun Long at Nongdam Tangkhul Village under Phungyar Assembly Constituency on March 11, MLA Wungnaoshang Keishing announced that a forum of the Independent MLAs in the Manipur Legislative Assembly had been formed in connection with the Lok Sabha election and it has decided to extend full support to sitting Independent MP Mani Charenamei who would be contesting in the election for the Outer Parliamentary seat as PDA candidate.
He also appealed to the people to repose their faith on PDA in this regard.
Furthermore, the MLA assured the gathering that necessary steps are being taken up to expand Kabongram village, bring about peace and development as well as to ensure the future of each growing children.
