Kakching, December 29 2021: J Rengwar Lamkang, who won silver medal in the 27th National Thang Ta Championship 2021 organised jointly by Jammu and Kashmir Thang Ta Association and Thang Ta Federation of India at Indoor Sports Complex, Jammu was accorded warm welcome by people of the native village on Wednesday.

J Rengwar is the son of J Monos Lamkang and SK Shangtin Lamkang of Thamnapokpi village, Chandel.

He won the silver medal in the championship in the 66 kg category.

J Rengwar was warmly welcomed by locals when he arrived at Imphal airport followed by a felicitation ceremony organised at Th Wangshul Memorial hall.

Simple gift was presented to J Rengwar as a mark of encouragement.

The felicitation ceremony was attended by Th Beshang as functional president and Thamlapokpi Baptist Church pastor Ss Samson Silsi as blessing minister among others.
