Imphal, September 02 2021:
All Manipur Recognised Private School Welfare Association has drawn the attention of the state government for giving approval to reopen private schools on trial basis.
Speaking in a press meet held at the Association's office, Sega Road Top Leirak Machil on Thursday afternoon, Association vice president Muhammad Rafi pointed out that normal classes remained suspended for over a year now owing to the pandemic.
As online classes alone are not enough to impart quality education to the students, governments in other states have given permission to schools to reopen despite the prevalence of Covid-19 cases.
Considering that the number of positive cases is declining in the state, Rafi appealed to the state government to allow private schools to reopen for resumption of physical class for students from Class IX to, XII on trial basis, while strictly adhering to the SOPs.
