Imphal, January 24 2022: Contributing towards an equal and healthy society, 44 Assam Rifles of 22 Sector AR/IGAR (East) organised one-day long Beti ki Sehat, medical camp at Kahulong village in Tamenglong district.

In a release, PRO (DW) informed that the battalion medical doctor with paramedical staff conducted free medical check-up and distributed free medicines to the beneficiaries.

The main aim of the day is to spread awareness about the gender based discrimination that girls face in the society.

It may be mentioned that to promote awareness about the rights of the girl child, importance of female education, health and nutrition every year India celebrates National Girl Child day on January 24 .
