Conduct of pre-board exam inspected

Teachers of schools under All Manipur Recognised Private Schools Welfare Association inspected ongoing common question (pre-board) examination for class X students studying in private schools being conducted by the association.
On the third day of the examination on Monday, association secretary and controller of the examination Nongthombam Jaykumar said that the association has been conducting pre-board examination for class X students studying in private schools since the year 2005 and around 10,000 students from more than 250 private schools of the state are giving the examination this year.
In view of COVID-19 pandemic, the pre-board examination for this year was conducted specially in consideration of the future of the students as giving promotion in the name of the pandemic would be a great loss for the students in their future career, he said, adding that the examination is being conducted with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocol and SOPs.
He also said that the association is preparing to allow students to appear the examination through online if they happen to contract COVID-19 .
A team of the association comprising teachers from different private schools inspected conduct of the pre-board examination at Success School, Sawombung, Leishemba Maheikol, IPS Higher Secondary School, Canchipur and St John's English school, Nambol.
