Financial transactions came to a grinding halt in different branches of public sector banks of the State as the employees of these banks joined a day-long Nation-wide strike today.
Registering their demands for wage revision and stop banking reforms, the employees staged a sit-in-protest in front of State Bank of India, MG Avenue branch from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm.
