Workers abducted for ransom

Imphal, December 18 2013:
Some suspected cadres of Kuki Liberation Army (KLA) reportedly abducted two workers from Tuisemphai Village under Saikul Police Station for a ransom of Rs.50 lakhs.
The abducted workers have been identified as Sanasam Tomba (44) of Wangoo Heinoujam Leikai and Asem Doren (36) of Wangoo Salangkhong.
Both are masons undertaking construction of culverts at Tuisemphai for one contactor Moirangthem Sanajaoba of Potsangbam.
According to police, the two workers were abducted from their work shed on the night of December 10 .
A complaint was also filed to Saikul Police regarding the abduction on December 12 .
