Water tanks distributed under CAP

Imphal, March 18 2023:
143 Bn CRPF conducted Civic Action Programme at Gamnom Saper-meina village, Kangpokpi district on Saturday during which water storage tanks were distributed to the underprivileged people of the village.
The 143 Bn CRPF is performing such programme every year along with its primary duty of law and order and internal security.
The main objective of the Civic Action Programme is to assist and uplift villagers, the battalion said in a press release.
Battalion commandant L Lhoujem attended the event and distributed the water storage tanks in the presence of second in-command K Sonny Singh, assistant commandant O Riza Chanu, N Champhai (Sapermeina) village chairman Henkhomanj Tuboi, M Jamnomphai (Mot-bung) chairman Henkho-mang Haokip and villagers.
L Lhoujem expressed happiness that the battalion has been able to help fulfil the long-standing need of the villagers and assured that the unit will continue to serve the people of Manipur by carrying out such humanitarian activities.
The commandant further said that under the Civic Action Programme, 143 Bn CRPF has been trying to address the needs and requirements of the locals, the release added.
