3000 families yet to avail scheme benefits

A three-day Door to Door Campaign under NALSA's Pan India Awareness and Outreach campaign organised by Legal Aid Clinic of Royal Academy of Law (RAL), Oinam and participated by college teachers, NSS volunteers and para legal volunteers culminated at Nambol on Wednesday.
On the last day, the campaign team was jointly flagged off by Academy's Governing Body secretary I Jugeshore Singh and BJP Nambol Mandal president Salam Brajamani Singh from Nambol.
The team then visited Below Poverty Line households in villages of Irengbam, Heinoubok, Leimaram and Nambol and spread awareness on the benefits they are entitled to under various government schemes.
Speaking on the occasion, RAL assistant professor and RAL Legal Aid Clinic coordinator N Meena informed thafduring their three-day campaign they came across 3000 households yet to receive benefits of government schemes or did not know how to avail them.
Considering this, very soon RAL Legal Aid Clinic will launch a programme to ensure the benefits to the people, she added.
