PMGSY roads in Thoubal district inspected

As part of Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which is being celebrated nationwide to mark the 75th year of India's independence, Manipur State Rural Roads Development Agency (MSRRDA) under the aegis of National Rural Infrastructure Development Agency of the Ministry of Rural Development inspected roads constructed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sarak Yojana (PMGSY) in Thoubal district.
MSRRDA officials inspected the roads one after another on Wednesday.
Rural engineering department's nodal maintenance officer additional chief engineer Kh Rajen Singh, who led the maintenance drive organised by RED/MSRRDA PIU-II Thoubal district, said that the routine inspection for 5 years maintenance of 7500 roads was conducted as part of Azaadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
For the financial year 2021-22, there are 461 DLP roads in Manipur and 78 roads (379.5km) among them will be covered during the ongoing maintenance drive.
Rural engineering department SE (Maintenance) Th Abo Meitei, SE-III Thoubal L Maipak, RED/MSRRDA PIU-II Thoubal District EE T Shivadutta Singh, assistant engineer N Ibungo Singh, SOs N Aniruddh Singh and M Bonesh Singh and other staff took part in the maintenance drive.
