RPF condoles demise of ex-cadre Chitra

Proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has expressed deep condolence over the sudden demise of its former 2nd Lieutenant Takhellambam Momota alias Chitra, who breathed her last due to an illness on June 19 .
Offering revolutionary salute to Chitra, a condolence message issued by RPF assistant secretary publicity Bangkim informed that Chitra of MC-169 was the daughter of Takhellambam Ibomcha and Manitombi of Heirangoithong Ningthoujam Leikai.
She was discharged from the party following her marriage.
Bangkim recalled that Chitra joined the party on June 30, 1997 and received PLA's basic military training.
She took several important roles for the party (RPF) till March 17, 2009 .
She was a true patriot who did not differentiate between the hills and valley of Manipur and fought for a united Manipur.
She was a cool, calm, sincere, strong and disciplined person who aspired living independently, the secretary recalled.
RPF and its armed wing PLA share grief and pain of the bereaved family, the condolence message added.
