'Join the Indian army' campaign conducted

Imphal, July 26 2021:
Tamei Battalion of Spear Corps organised a 'Join the Indian Army' campaign for women to join the Corps of Military Police.
According to PIB Defence, the mobile information campaigns held in June and July were organised in local languages at remote villages of Tamenglong and Kangpokpi districts including Tamei, Langmei, Tamah, Kabonram, Makui, Phoikon, Chalwa, Geljang, Gelbung, Gelnel, Songpaibung and Lasan to educate and highlight the employment opportunities for women in the Indian Army.
During the campaign, 36 women candidates came forward to join the Indian Army from Tamenglong and Kangpokpi districts.
Meanwhile, Mantripukhri Battalion of IGAR (South) extended assistance to ex-servicemen of Imphal West district on Monday.
According to PRO IGAR(S), Covid prevention kits and other essential commodities were provided to the ex-servicemen of Assam Rifles.
The assistance was provided with adequate social distancing following all Covid protocols.
