AR conducts recruitment, anti-drug events

Imphal, June 11 2022:
Shangshak Battalion of IGAR (S) organised a lecture on Indian Armed Forces and other career opportunities followed by weapon and equipment display for school children of Shangshak village in Ukhrul district on Friday.
In all, 75 boys and girls from nearby villages were educated on various entries to join Indian Armed Forces and thrilled to see elaborated layout of sophisticated weapons, PRO IGAR (S) said in a release.
On the other-hand, Sajik Tampak Battalion assisted local youth (male and female candidates) in online registration for recruitment rally which started since June 8 .
In another release, the PRO said a total of 30 candidates have been registered for recruitment rally so far, adding that as part of creating awareness to join Assam Rifles pamphlets were also distributed in villages.
A pre-recruitment training is also being organised for the registered candidates, to provide the youth of Kana area an opportunity to get trained for the selection process in Assam Rifles.
Meanwhile, Modi Battalion organised an awareness lecture on drug abuse as part of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) for the youth and local populace of Langol village of Machi sub-division in Tengnoupal district on Saturday to spread awareness against the drug abuse and prevention of use of drugs.
A total of 145 students who participated in the event were also briefed about the higher education, career opportunities and the type of entries to join Indian Armed Forces, the PRO added.
