Attack on journalists decried Criminal act : MHJU

The Manipur Hill Journalists' Union (MHJU) has condemned the bomb attack at the residence of AMWJU president A Mobi.
MHJU is alarmed and it condemns the life attempt made to key indigenous leaders and reputed journalist A Mobi, Editor, Sanaleibak Daily News and the present president of All Manipur Working Journalists Union (AMWJU) on August 11 at about 8.30 pm in his residence, it said in a press release.
Whoever was behind this dastardly act of bombing the residence of the Editor, is a criminal, inherently inhuman and deserved an equivocal condemnation from all sections of the society.
"We stand by the victims of the unjustified and utterly inhuman tragedy he had to face".
"With this, we would like to call the attention of the Government of Manipur to give immediate attention and action on this matter.
Finally, the MHJU calls on the government, any individual(s) or group(s) to ensure the safety and security of the journalists and their families and take concrete measures to prevent further attacks and intimidation to the journalists in particular and every citizen in general", the MHJU said.
