RLJP to contest assembly polls

Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party (RLJP) national president Pashupati Kumar Paras has announced that the party has made preparation to field candidates in the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election in coordination with NDA.
RLJP national president and Union food processing industries minister Pashupati Kumar Paras along with RLJP national secretary B Ruchida Sharma arrived here on Monday and state unit of the party accorded them a warm welcome at City Convention Centre on their maiden visit to the state.
Addressing gathering at the event, Pashupati Kumar Paras said that RLJP will contest the assembly polls in coordination with NDA and he will talk with central BJP leaders in this regard at New Delhi.
Altogether five states will go to the polls in early part of 2022 and RLJP being a powerful political party across the country will contest elections but wants to go together with NDA, he said, adding that party's executive meet will decide the number of candidates to be fielded in the election.
He also lauded party's state unit for strengthening its organisation ahead of the election.
According to Pashupati Kumar Paras, food processing units in Manipur are functioning properly and n\any unemployed youth could be given employment if businessmen pay more attention to this sector.
Elated over visiting Manipur for the first time, Pashupati Kumar Paras said that late party leader and former Union minister Ram Vilas Paswan visited Manipur several times.
During the event, RLJP national secretary Ruchida Sharma was appointed party's in-charge for Manipur while office bearers of party's state unit were also appointed.
