Patriots' Day observed in Tripura

Kakching, August 13 2021: Manipuri Literary and Cultural Forum, Tripura and Meira Paibi, Khowai observed Patriots' Day at Paona Brajabasi Park, Khowai Meitei village, Gouranagar Tripura on Friday.

The programme which was marked by paying of floral tributes to Bir Tikendrajit, Thangal General and other martyrs along with observance of two-minute silence was attended by Forum assistant secretary N Bibhas, Meira Paibi Khowai president N Binota, noted writers S Khelamohan and N Anil.

Takhel Leima Tengbang Lup Tripura also observed Patriots' Day at Tarou Meitei Leikai, Agartala which was attended by Takhel Leima president N Radhika, secretary Khoisnam Birola, L Pratima and other members.

Lamyanba Sansthan observed 130th Patriots' Day at Dhaleswar, Agartala which was participated by Manipuri Sahitya Parishad Tripura president RK Jitendrajit, Surjyamani Mukharjee, Lamyanba Sansthan chief advisor Wangkhem Birmangal, secretary Kh Madhani, Th Nilkumar, Marup newspaper joint editor RK Tarunjit.

On the other hand, Manipuri Council Tripura and All Tripura Manipuri Students-Youth Coordination Committee observed Patriots' Day at Dhakabari.

the programme which was attended by Marup newspaper joint editor RK Tarunjit as chief guest, All Tripura Manipuri Students Youth Coordination Committee president Th Mlmani as president was marked by paying of floral tributes to the martyrs.

All Tripura Thang Ta Association and Sangai Art Study Centre also observed Patriots' Day at a programme held at Dharmanagar, while Leikol Manipuri Cultural Organisation held an observance at Khowai on Friday.

Patriots' Day was also observed in various parts of Tripura inhabited by Meitei community including Agartala, Kaamalghat (Toropokpi), Dhakabari, Baidyardighi, Shesuria, Nalgoria, Gournagar, Khowai, Jalabasa, Dhanbilash, Dharmanagar, etc.
