Assam Rifles Conduct Free Medical Camp

As part of its humanitarian services at the remote border areas of the state, a two-day free medical camp organised by the 22th Assam Rifles of 28 Sector H/Q Assam Rifle kicked off today at Practical High School of Serou, Thoubal District.

G Joshi, DIG H/Q 28 Sector Assam Rifle who also came to look after the medical camp, said that the medical camp was mainly to be organised in the remote areas of Manipur primarily to provide basic health facilities to them.
Those remote areas have no proper medical facilities, but economically backward.
All districts of the state are covered under military civic action programme.
The medical team included a lady doctor who conducted the health check up for the villagers and distributed free medicines and investigation facilities like the ENT, Malaria testing and ECG services.
Around 200 people from surrounding Serou villages were examined by two doctors with provision of free medicines, he added.
