CHC Singhat's new building inaugurated

Churachandpur, June 19 2021:
A new extension building of HWC CHC Singhat, Churachandpur was inaugurated and a new ambulance of the health centre launched on Saturday, 11 am.
Singhat MLA Ginsuanhau Zou, who is also the chairman of MANIREDA and MTDC, attended the event as chief guest while DC Churachandpur Pawan Yadav presided over the function.
District hospital CMO Dr VC Pau Tonsing and SDO/BDO Jameson Hangshing were also present on the occasion.
In his address, Ginsuanhau commended those involved in the project for taking up the construction work at a faster pace amid the pandemic.
The construction was taken up under MLA local area development fund along with donations from Singhat village chief, he said, while appealing to all to follow Covid relevant SOPs strictly as Delta variant has already been detected in the state.
He further said that the ambulance allotted by the government to the CHC will help in attending to medical emergency cases.
Hailing the contribution of healthcare professionals in fighting the pandemic, he urged them to continue their services for the sake of the society.
He then thanked the public for their contribution in fighting the pandemic and assured of looking into the problems faced by them.
DC Pawan Yadav spoke on the changing nature of Covid-19 and emphasised on the importance of following Covid appropriate behaviour while Dr VC Pau said that the number of beds in the CHC will now be increased to over 20 with the addition of the extension building.
Later, the MLA, DC, CMO and SDO distributed medical kits and kits for pregnant women.
They also distributed 35 Samsung mobile phones to 35 residents of 35 different villages under Singhat assembly constituency.
