Imphal, December 26 2021:
While claiming to have achieved his target of developing Lamsang assembly constituency and stating that there is nothing more left to be developed in the constituency, education minister S Rajen said that he will utilise MLA Local Area Development fund for helping poor families in the next term.
Inaugurating a community hall in Chingkhulong village constructed under the MLA local area development fund on Sunday, Rajen said that Lamsang AC was dominated by lack of development in the three terms which he lost election.
However, after he was elected again in 2017, he has brought development in every sector in the last five years.
He has completed blacktopping of all roads except a few streets which will also be completed before the election.
Pipelines have been laid for providing domestic water supply connections by 2022, and renovation of several schools taken up.
Since development has been brought in almost every sector, he will utilise the MLA local area development fund for helping poor families in construction of houses and running small businesses, said the minister.
Khunbu P Merajao, Khullakpa K Sapu, former Khullakpa K Gaini and Thoubei P Tomba attended the inauguration function.
