Conflict Widow Forum Manipur has appealed the Central Bureau of India (CBI) which is the investigating agency of the extra judicial execution cases in Manipur, to submit the pending charge sheet to the Supreme Court at the earliest.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, Kongkham (O) Gangarani, convener of the forum said that the families of the victims of extra judicial killings at the hand of security forces have been demanding justice for their loved ones from time to time.
Explaining that the Supreme Court had directed CBI and SIT to investigate the cases of extra judicial killings in the State, numbering more than 1500, by security personnel, she appealed for speedy investigation of the cases and further appealed to the authority concerned to submit the charge sheets at the earliest in the interest of the family members who have been waiting for justice all this time.
She continued that the family members have been waiting for the Court verdict.
