Satyabhama murder case Bodies demand befitting punishment

Kangleipak Women Welfare Association (KWWA) has demanded that the culprit involved in the murder of Ningombam Satyabhama be booked at the earliest.
In a press release, KWWA said that the cases of rape and murder are increasing day after day in Manipur.
Government's failure to award befitting punishment to the perpetrators is the primary reason for the increasing rate of crime against women, KWWA said and added that it would extend support to any agitation initiated by the JAC constituted against the murder of Satyabhama.
All Manipur Students' Union while condemning the incident urged the State Government to book the culprits.
AMSU said that crime against women is rising due to Government's inability to award befitting punishment to the perpetrators.
Condemning the brutal murder, Democratic Students' Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) has pledged support to any agitation initiated against the murder of Ningombam Satyabhama.
Lambasting the State Home Department for being not able to book the culprits till date, DESAM urged the women community of the State to be alert so that such incidents are thwarted in future.
People's Action for National Democratic Movement (PANDM) observed that serious crimes against women would happen in future as well as the Government has failed to award befitting punishment to the culprits.
As such, the time has come for the women of the State to protect themselves of their own from the criminals.
PANDM also said that it would extend support to any agitation staged against the murder of N Satyabhama.
Students' Union of Kangleipak (SUK) demanded for early arrest of the persons involved in the crime before the agitation staging against the incident is intensified further.
Kangleipak Lamjing Apunba Meiralup (Kanglamei) while condemning the incident observed that it is better not to be in the Government if the perpetrators of such heinous crimes are not given punishment.
Chanura Lamchinglel Kangleipak (CLK) also condemned the murder of Satyabhama.
In a press release, CLK urged the State Government to do the needful as an abled Government.
CLK also urged the people of the State to stand united against the crimes against women.
Women Welfare Organisation, Kangleipak, Social Worker's Congress, Khongman, SLUCO, Canchipur and Manipur Muslim Welfare Organisation also demanded for befitting punishment to the culprits involved in Satyabhama murder case.
